Report of Kidnapped 3-Year-Old at Union Station Unfounded: LAPD

Police called off the search Wednesday for a 3-year-old boy allegedly kidnapped at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles after determining the report was unfounded.

The abduction was reported at 5:13 p.m., according to Officer Matt Ludwig with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Investigators later said the abduction report may have come from a mentally ill individual, according to LAPD Sgt. Peraza.
