Investigators were searching for the person who shot a man in Marina del Rey on Sunday, leaving him hospitalized in unknown condition.
A gunshot victim was reported near Panay Way and Via Marina around 12:11 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Mike Barraza said.
The man was lying in a bush and bleeding from his chest and groin area, according to Marin Ginzburg, who told KTLA she spotted the man while driving with a friend and called officials.
The 45-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his torso area and was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in unknown condition, a Sheriff’s Department news release stated.
The shooter was believed to have been in a dark-colored vehicle. Additional information was not available.
