A rat can be seen crawling on an apparently sleeping man on a New York subway on cellphone video captured over the weekend.

“MTA subways come equipped with cuddly rats,” Antony Lin posted on Instagram, along with video capturing the incident around 3 a.m. Sunday.

The footage shows a man bundled up in a jacket and apparently sleeping — at first unaware that a rat made its way onto his lap, and quickly crawled up his arm and around his neck.

As the man woke up and began to grab behind his neck, the camera panned down and viewers can hear a shriek.

“I had my phone ready to film the rat since it was huge and the fact that it ended up inside the subway,” Lin told WNBC. “So I see the rat crawl onto the guy and zoomed in.”

The 31-year-old was riding the 7 train in Manhattan when he captured the video, he told the station.
