A sheriff’s deputy was in for a big surprise recently when he pulled over his wife for an alleged traffic violation recently in Anaheim, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

In the encounter, which the wife filmed,  the woman explained she was trying to get to work as her husband approached her vehicle.

“Mike, what are you doing?” she said.

“It’s deputy,” he replied.

The deputy then explained he pulled her over for riding alone in a carpool lane, to which his wife responds she was not in violation.

“We will argue about this later,” he said.

She then hands over her license, registration and a piece of paper that reads: “Baby Wigginton arriving September 2016.”

“Ma’am, I stand corrected,” he calmly responds as his face breaks into a smile.

The video was posted by the Sheriff’s Department Monday, with the caption, “When an Orange County Deputy Sheriff pulls over his wife for driving in the carpool lane without another passenger in her car, he’s the one who’s in for a surprise.”

By Thursday, the pregnancy announcement had been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.
