The incident occurred about 3 p.m. Thursday at San Marino Park, which is adjacent to San Marino Elementary School, the Buena Park Police Department stated in a news release.

Authorities described the attacker as a heavyset white man with brown hair and a goatee. He was said to be in his 40s and stood about 6 feet tall.
