A woman was found dead in East Hollywood after an apparent domestic dispute with her boyfriend Tuesday morning, police said.

Officers responded to the 500 block of North Virgil Avenue shortly before 6:30 a.m. and located the victim, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Matthew Ludwig.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not release the name of the woman, who is believed to be in her 30s, according to Ludwig.

It was not known how she died.

Patrol officers were initially dispatched to the residence after receiving a report of some sort of dispute, according to LAPD Lt. Joe Losorelli.

The incident that prompted the call appeared to be a domestic dispute between the victim and her boyfriend, he said.

Investigators were interviewing people at a nearby police station in connection to the woman’s death, but were still looking for “somebody of interest,” according to Losorelli.

“We still have a lot of investigation to do,” he said.
