Investigators in Orange County were looking for possible additional victims of a volleyball coach arrested Wednesday for allegedly sending lewd videos of himself to a minor.

Troy Linehan Crutchfield, 26, was taken into custody at his home in Costa Mesa and booked on suspicion of sending harmful matter to a minor electronically and communicating with a minor to engage in lewd behavior, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Crutchfield was arrested following an investigation that started last month, when detectives were contacted regarding a female minor who was having inappropriate conversations with a male online, the release stated.

During the course of the investigation, Crutchfield was identified as a possible suspect.

On Wednesday, investigators served a search warrant at Crutchfield’s home, at which time he was arrested, according to the release.

Investigators believe he may have additional victims.

Crutchfield has been employed or volunteered as a volleyball coach at Cal State Long Beach, SCA Club Volleyball in Huntington Beach, Huntington Beach High School and Long Beach City College, according to authorities.

He has also provided private volleyball lessons in the past.

Crutchfield was being held on $100,000 bail.

Anyone with information regarding additional victims was asked to call Orange County Sheriff’s Investigator S. Longnecker at 714-972-4185 or email at slongnecker@ocsd.org.
