Bariatric embolization, also known as left gastric artery embolization, is a recently introduced endovascular image-guided procedure aimed at treating obesity. This procedure entails percutaneous transarterial particle embolization of the gastric fundus arterial supply, which is the site of the highest concentration of ghrelin-secreting cells in the body.
