Bowling for Rhinos
Jewel City Bowl
135 South Glendale Avenue
Glendale
http://www.AAZKLosAngeles.org

Jewel City Bowl in Glendale is the place to be for the BOWLING FOR RHINOS fundraiser. The money generated by our bowling skills will help protect the remaining five species of Rhinos that exist today: the White, Black, Greater One-Horned, Sumatran and Javan, which are all endangered!

The Rhino is killed for its horn to be used in foreign medicines and as symbolic dagger handles. The horn is so valuable to poachers that the Rhino cannot survive unless it is on protected sanctuaries.

Wings of Freedom Tour
John Wayne – Orange County Airport
Lyon Air Museum
19300 Ike Jones Road
Santa Ana

The Wings of Freedom Tour has flown into John Wayne-Orange County Airport. The tour travels the nation as a flying tribute to the flight crews who flew, maintained, and built the B-17, the B-25, B-24 and P-51 aircraft, considered the backbone of the American effort during World War Two.

The aircraft is famous for its ability to sustain damage and still accomplish the mission. Despite the risks of anti-aircraft fire, attacking enemy fighters, and the harrowing environment of sub-zero temperatures, many B-17s and B-24s safely brought their crews home.

Visitors can find out more by checking the website: http://www.collingsfoundation.org

Thanks to a partnership with Dunn-Edwards Paints, 16 colors were chosen as part of this year’s palette, twelve of which were sourced from the new “Then, Now & Forever” collection. So, the colors are historically accurate from the Mission Revival period along with other architectural eras.
