Eight people, including a supervisory drug counselor at Calipatria State Prison in Imperial County and inmates who participated in the drug rehabilitation program, were indicted by a federal grand jury on charges that they were members of a network that smuggled methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana into the prison, authorities announced Tuesday.
