Police in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, are asking for the public’s help in locating a mother and her three sons.

Michalene Melges, 40, and her children 14-year-old Hans, 12-year-old Kristian (“Max”) and 10-year-old Maverik (“Buddy”) were last seen leaving their home  in the 900 block of South Lakeshore Drive in Lake Geneva on May 10.

Police say Michalene rented a van in Lake Bluff, Illinois, on May 9 and the van was returned to a rental company in Plano, Texas, on May 13.

Michalene and her sons may be traveling with their two dogs.

Police say foul play is not suspected.

Melges is divorced and the boys have missed three visitations with their father, Lt. Ed Gritzner of Lake Geneva police told the Chicago Tribune.

At this point, police just want to check on her welfare and have no evidence that she is keeping her sons from her ex-husband, Gritzner told the Tribune.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Lake Geneva Police Department at 262-248-4455.
