Missouri Woman Allegedly Flees Scene of High-Speed Pursuit Crash Leaving Baby in Car

A woman is charged after leading police on a high-speed chase with a baby in the back seat.

Police say Shaneece Marshall drove recklessly over 70 miles per hour, eventually crashing the car into a pole on North Grand Boulevard near the Fox Theater.

Marshall allegedly took off running and hid in a nearby restaurant where she was arrested.

According to police, they found a baby in an unsecured car seat in the crashed car.

Marshall told police she did not want to get caught again in a stolen vehicle.

Marshall is charged with seven counts including endangering the welfare of a child in the first-degree, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and property damage in the second-degree.
