Placentia police are investigating a trio of restaurant burglaries that occurred early Wednesday within 45 minutes of each other, officials said.

The first incident occurred about 1 a.m. at Los Gallos Mexican Restaurant, 1667 E Orangethorpe Ave., said Sgt. Bryce Angel. Officials found a smashed window and property had been stolen from the business.

Minutes later Meat Up BBQ, 450 North Kraemer Blvd. was broken into, but no property was taken, Angel said.

Employee Luis Gallos said it was the third time in two years that the restaurant had been burglarized.

The third burglary occurred at Gina Maria’s Pizzeria, 1525 North Placentia Avenue, where a small amount of cash was taken, Angel said.

Owner Jon Giovanni told KTLA that the burglars were caught on his surveillance cameras, which he handed over to authorities.
At least two people were involved, police believe, but no arrests have been made.

KTLA's Stephen Acosta contributed to this story.
