A man was fatally stabbed during an altercation in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood of South Los Angeles late Tuesday night, police said.
The fight broke out in an alley near West 105th Street and South Main Street at about 10:50 p.m., said Lt. Clint Dohmen with the Los Angeles Police Department.
Investigators believe the fight involved a group of people, including the victim who was stabbed at least once in the chest, Dohmen said.
The victim, who was believed to be between 18 and 20 years old, died from his injuries, Dohmen said.
Police did have a person described as a “possible suspect” in custody, Dohmen said.
It was unclear if the altercation was gang related.
