Royce Devin Warner, 36, of Lompoc, was first arrested on June 20 on a child pornography possession warrant out of North Dakota.

He had been working at the print shop at Lompoc Unified School District for about a year at the time of his arrest, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s officials said in a news release.

Following an investigation, Warner was arrested again on July 13 on suspicion of continued sexual abuse of a child.

Officials did not release any details of that investigation or the victim Friday, except that the crimes against the child did not occur on school property.

Warner remains at the Santa Barbara County Jail on $500,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 8.

He will face the local charges before being considered for his extradition to North Dakota, officials said.
