1 Dead, 1 Injured After Shooting at West Covina House Party

At least one person was killed and another injured following a shooting at a West Covina house party, police said Saturday.

The shooting happened Friday night in the 800 block of East Michelle Avenue. Police were responding to the home about 10:15 p.m. following reports of loud music.

“When the first officers arrived on scene, they saw numerous partygoers running out of a residence reporting gunfire coming from the rear yard,” Officer Eddie Flores wrote in a news release.

One gunshot victim was transported to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center; the other was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
