Man Fatally Stabbed at Huntington Beach Library; Police Investigating

A man was fatally stabbed after a fight at a Huntington Beach library on Friday, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Officers received a call about a stabbing around 12:30 a.m. at the Huntington Beach Central Library in the 7100 block of Talbert Avenue. The man was found bleeding in the street, according to police.

Earlier that night, a group of people were hanging out in the library parking lot when a fight broke out between two men, police said. The victim was stabbed during the altercation and later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

The attacker fled the scene, police stated in a press release.

The victim’s name is not being released at this time and the attacker has not been identified. It is unknown if the victim and the other man knew each other.
