U.S. Postal Service to Hire 40,000 Holiday Workers, Including in SoCal

The U.S. Postal Service is hiring between 35,000-to-40,000 seasonal workers for the holiday season, according to USPS officials.

There are job openings in several locations throughout Southern California, including driver, letter carrier, mail handler and mail processing clerk positions.

Postal Service temporary and seasonal employees will have opportunities for permanent work and all jobs will offer competitive compensation packages, job training and opportunities for advancement, USPS said in a press release. 

Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma. Applicants must also be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
