Man Shot and Killed at Halloween Party in Lancaster; Police Searching for Shooter

A man was shot and killed in Lancaster early Sunday while attending a Halloween party, sheriff’s officials reported.

crime-sceneDeputies responded to a shooting call at about 2:12 a.m. in the 45300 block of Andale Avenue and found the man lying in the street next to his car, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

The 27-year-old man was treated by paramedics, but pronounced dead at the scene.

A relative of the victim told deputies he had been at a Halloween party in the 45000 block of Trevor Avenue when he was shot, officials said.

The relative tried to drive the man to a hospital, but she crashed her car into the curb.

No arrests have been made, and authorities did not have provide a description of the shooter.

The Sheriff’s Department did not release any additional information about the investigation, which was ongoing.
