3 Men Dressed in Halloween Costumes Rob Smart & Final Store Near USC: Police

Three men dressed in Halloween costumes allegedly tied up and robbed employees at a Smart & Final store near the University of Southern California campus Monday night, officials said.

The incident was reported about 10 p.m. at the store in the 3600 block South Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Irma Mota said.

Three black men dressed in costumes went into the store and one of them was armed with a handgun.

The other two men allegedly tied up two employees, who were not injured, Mota said.

The robbers got away with $3,000 in cash, but it is unknown if they were on foot or in a vehicle.

The incident is under investigation.
