The crash was reported about 10:20 p.m. near the McBean Parkway exit of the highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The truck apparently spilled its load onto the lanes and the No. 3 and 4 lanes of traffic were expect to be blocked for several hours, the CHP reported.

Authorities were initially unable to locate the driver, but the person was later found near Valencia Boulevard and The Old Road, Officer Francisco Villalobos said.

The driver was hospitalized with minor injuries and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Villalobos said.

Two right lanes remained closed on the southbound side of the freeway into early Wednesday.

The SigAlert was canceled and all lanes were reopened by 5:15 a.m., according to the CHP.
