LAFD Battle Large Recycling Yard Fire in Sun Valley

The Los Angeles Fire Department was battling a large fire at a recycling yard in Sun Valley on Wednesday night.

Thirty-eight firefighters responded to 1166 Pendleton St. where they found a pile of cardboard and rubbish burning in the yard around 7:45 p.m.

The pile was 20 feet tall, 100 feet wide and 100 feet deep, according to the LAFD.

The blaze was knocked out thirty minutes later around 8:19 p.m. No structures were damaged and there were no injuries, fire officials said.
