Firefighters Battling Brush Fire in Santa Clarita Near 14 Freeway

Los Angeles County firefighters battled a 3-acre brush fire in Santa Clarita near the 14 Freeway on Wednesday night.

The fire began around 9:30 p.m. after a car burst into flames and nearby vegetation caught fire, according to Supervisor Diaz with Los Angeles County Fire Department.

All the northbound lanes were shut down while crews attended to the fire. Lanes 3, 4 and 5 have been blocked for two hours.
