Los Angeles Police Department officers are pursuing a stolen vehicle in South L.A., authorities said.

LAPD Officer Sal Ramirez said the stolen vehicle was tracked from a LoJack signal. The pursuit ended just around 6 p.m. at South Figueroa Street and West 56th Street in the Vermont-Slauson district of South L.A.

Sky5 video showed a black SUV driving through surface streets as the driver continued to evade police. At one point, the driver waited for a train to pass before continuing the chase.

The driver was going down the wrong side of the road at one point, and later, the vehicle was actually stuck in traffic at one point, as seen in Sky5 footage.

When the driver surrendered, he was lying face down on the ground before officers approached and arrested him, Sky5 footage showed.
