Fire officials were able to put out a blaze that broke out in Lincoln Heights on Friday night.
The flames erupted shortly after 10 p.m. near the 3900 block of North Mission Road, the Los Angeles Fire Department said in an alert.
They grew to cover about 3 and a half acres and were being driven by terrain, officials said.
It took 74 firefighters about an hour and 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
No structures were threatened, and no evacuation orders were issued.
Authorities are now working to determine what caused the fire.
