Authorities Search for 3 Men After Woman Is Injured in Rosemead Home Invasion

A woman whose home in Rosemead was invaded on Monday night is still in the hospital as authorities search for the three men suspected of breaking in, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials said Tuesday.

The woman, describing as being in her 50s or 60s, was left with non-life-threatening injuries after three men broke into her home along Falling Leaf Avenue, officials said. Deputies were called to the scene about 10:11 p.m. after the entire home was ransacked, according to Lt. Chris Kusayanagi.

The only description of the suspects so far is that they were three black men wearing masks, Kusayanagi said.

The victim was still in the hospital the morning after the attack, Kusayanagi said, although the nature of her injuries are unclear. She wasn't sure what exactly had been stolen from the home since she had not yet returned, Kusayanagi said.

She said she was awakened by the suspects and doesn't remember much, he added.

No other details were released by authorities.
