Many senior dogs need a stable home and a second chance to be man’s best friend. This November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month and the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is partnering with the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control to host an adoption party for senior dogs and other pets for adoption on Saturday, November 24.

In response to the recent Woolsey fire, Annenberg PetSpace will be waiving adoption fees until further notice to help make room for the incoming animals who have been relocated to the facility because of the fire.

The event is free and open to all ages. Attendees will be able to meet with experts to learn about the many benefits of adopting a senior pet while enjoying complimentary refreshments, face painting, and a special book reading and signing by Lisa Wiehebrink.

The vehicle was built in Los Angeles by African American Cliff Hall and named after Beverly Hills businessman Louis Corwin, the primary financial backer of the project.
