Woman in Critical Condition After Hit-and-Run in Anaheim

A young woman is hospitalized in critical condition after she was hit by a vehicle, which then fled in the scene, in Anaheim.

Witnesses said the woman was hit by a red, 1998 or 1999 Isuzu Amigo at the intersection of Haster Street and Leatrice Lane shortly before 9 p.m., the Anaheim Police Department said in a written statement. The driver did not stop.

The Isuzu sustained damage to its front right headlight in the collision, police said.

Paramedics took the badly injured 18-year-old pedestrian to a hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
