Narcotics investigators seized more than a pound of methamphetamine, half an ounce of cocaine and a “large sum” of cash in the arrest of an alleged drug dealer in Oxnard, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

Following an investigation lasting two months, detectives pulled over Arturo Aguilar while he was driving in Oxnard and detained him around 1 p.m. on Nov. 29, according to sheriff’s officials. He was later arrested.

The 41-year-old Oxnard man is suspected of dealing meth around Ventura County. Roughly one pound of the drug was found inside his vehicle after investigators served a search warrant, officials said.

Inside his home, investigators found and seized more than four ounces of meth, one half ounce of cocaine and cash believed to be earned from drug sales, officials said.

Authorities have not disclosed the amount of cash discovered.

Aguilar was booked into Ventura County Main Jail and held on $50,000 bail. He posted bail.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 13 at 8:15 a.m.
