High Winds Sweep Cold Front Into Southern California

California is ending the year with blustery, chilly weather and it's going to get colder in some areas.

The greater Los Angeles region remains under a wind advisory after overnight gusts toppled several large trees and scattered power outages occurred, and Central Coast counties are seeing a mix of frost and freeze conditions.

The National Weather Service says a hard freeze warning will go into effect in the San Joaquin Valley for overnight hours starting late Friday through Sunday morning.
