Los Angeles police pursued a driver who eventually surrendered peacefully in the San Fernando Valley Tuesday evening.
The chase began as a domestic call in the 15000 block of Paddock Street in Sylmar, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Mike Lopez.
The silver SUV looped through a Sylmar neighborhood shortly after 10:30 p.m. as police tracked the vehicle. Before surrendering, the driver pulled over and appeared to make an obscene gesture at Sky5 and other news media helicopters.
Eventually he exited the vehicle and lay spread eagle on the pavement, and officers handcuffed him and took him into custody.
