San Francisco’s $20,000 trash can is ‘ridiculous,’ says city leader

San Francisco’s Department of Public Health has proposed a trash can that comes at a high cost of $20,000.

The high tech trash cans will alert crews when they need emptying and are self sealing. News of the expensive cans is ruffling the feathers of Matt Haney of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors who called it “ridiculous.”
