    Hate Crimes Continue to Rise for the 4th Straight Year in L.A. County: Report

    Reports of hate crimes in Los Angeles County continued to rise in 2017 contributing to a 32 percent rise over the past 4 years, according to a government report released on Thursday. Last year there were 508 hate crimes reported, with the highest rate of them occurring in the Metro region stretching from West Hollywood to Boyle Heights, the L.A.     Orange County deputies arrested two men on suspicion of stealing $20,000 worth of tools and equipment found stashed in a Mission Viejo homeless encampment, officials said Friday.     52 Arrested in California Crackdown on Illegal Marijuana Farming

    A crackdown on illegal cannabis grows resulted in the arrest of 52 individuals across the state, officials said. Agents eradicated more than 614,000 plants in over 254 illegal marijuana farms across the state, as well as seized 110 weapons.
