Catherine Park is a digital news producer at KTLA.
She’s a true Southerner – born and raised in Georgia, where she attended Georgia State University and managed to earn herself a degree in journalism and a minor in sociology.
Atlanta is a competitive broadcast news market and she fortunately snagged her first news gig at WXIA. There, she worked her way up from an intern to a full-time digital news producer. Although she loved the music, the occasional chicken wing bone on the sidewalks and the multiple streets in downtown named Peachtree, which confused even a native Atl-ien, it was time for a change.
So she moved to the heart of America – Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. There, she worked as an assignment desk editor/digital producer for NBC News. Everything is truly bigger in Texas and people are obsessed with Bucee’s and Whataburger.
Catherine has managed to make her way across the country and now calls the West Coast her home.
She is a proud Korean-American and a news junkie. True crime podcasts are her bread and butter when Netflix hasn’t added the latest episode of “The Great British Baking Show.”
