Actor Tom Arnold has filed a police report alleging battery after a scuffle between him and "The Apprentice" producer Mark Burnett during a pre-Emmy party in Century City Sunday night.

Both Arnold and Burnett’s wife, Roma Downey, tweeted about the altercation.

The actor and comedian met with detectives in West Los Angeles to file a battery report against Burnett, LAPD Det. Meghan Aguilar told the Los Angeles Times.

After leaving the police station, Arnold told KTLA that Burnett "lost it," lunged" at him and tried to "choke me out" during the incident Sunday night.

Arnold tweeted that fellow actor Kevin Bacon witnessed the scuffle.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke to Arnold's attorney, who called the altercation an "unprovoked attack."

The alleged incident occurred just two days before the debut of Arnold’s new show on VICELAND called “The Hunt for The Trump Tapes,” where the actor and comedian tries to find tapes that he says show Donald Trump using the “N-word” and making other bigoted comments.

Arnold said it was a "weird coincidence" that both he and Burnett were at the party Sunday, because he has been trying to convince the producer to release "The Apprentice" tapes.

He again implored Burnett to release the tapes Monday morning. Arnold said he is trying to get the tapes released for the good of America, and in an attempt to prevent Trump from starting "World War III."
