Calling all motorcycle lovers! Today you can check out hundreds of the hottest street bikes, dirt bikes, ATV's and even the new Polaris Sling Shot! KTLA's Gayle Anderson has the details on the "International Motorcycle Show", plus other events happening around Los Angeles.

Hundreds of the hottest street bikes, dirt bikes, cruisers, scooters, side-by-sides and ATVs can be found at the  International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center.

What’s new this year? How about this! It’s the Polaris Slingshot, a three wheeled motorcycle sports vehicle. Think reverse trike.

This is new to Los Angeles County! It’s the DISCOVERY CUBE LOS ANGELES, a new interactive science center at the Hansen Dam Recreation Area. This two-story, 71,000 square-foot center is the first major museum in the San Fernando Valley. It offers an exhibit and program mix exclusive to Los Angeles. 

Along with the Discovery Cube Orange County in Santa Ana, DISCOVERY CUBE LOS ANGELES is part of the Discovery Science Foundation’s plan to expand STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) proficiency, early childhood learning, healthy living and environmental stewardship in Southern California through engaging science-based programs and exhibits that create a meaningful impact on the communities they serve.

Look who’s come to town!

It’s the world’s most beloved blue engine! Thomas the Tank Engine.

Thomas & Friends: Explore the Rails has rolled into the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana.

The Science Technology, Engineering and Math, also known as STEM, focused exhibit engages children and families in foundational skills that foster STEM literacy through playful learning experiences. 

The exhibit incorporates foundational STEM practices that encourage thinking mathematically, making comparisons, experimenting to solve problems using a variety of methods and tools, thinking creatively and reflecting on actions and results.

And, while you’re downtown, stop by the Japanese American National Museum to see Hello! Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty, the first large-scale Hello Kitty museum retrospective in the United States.

Organized as part of the global icon’s 40th-anniversary celebrations, the exhibition examines the colorful history of Hello Kitty and her influence on popular culture. Hello! includes an extensive product survey, with rare and unique items from the Sanrio archives, alongside a selection of innovative contemporary artworks inspired by Hello Kitty and her world.
