ICEF Public Schools
The mission of ICEF Public Schools is to prepare all students to attend and compete at the top 100 colleges and universities in the nation by providing excellent academics, arts and athletics programs. ICEF operates 14 schools across South Los Angeles educating 4,200 students in grades K through 12. ICEF serves an 82 percent African-American and 16 percent Hispanic student population. Over 80% of students are eligible for the federal free and reduced lunch program, a nationally recognized measure of economic poverty.
ICEF Rugby
ICEF Rugby is a leadership, team building and character development program. We align ourselves with the ICEF mission of getting our students to attend and compete at the top 100 colleges and universities in the nation. We use rugby as the vehicle to provide skills to ensure this mission can become a reality. Thousands of students have been introduced to rugby through ICEF’s physical education programs, after-school middle school flag rugby teams, and boys and girls middle and high school tackle programs. Many students continue to play in college and on teams all across the world.
