Mike Feldman of the American Heart Association of Orange County, their mascot Ticker and some heart walk team members joined us to talk about this year’s Orange County Heart Walk.

Heart disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 4 killers in America. The Orange County Heart Walk, taking place at Disneyland for the first time, is an opportunity for the community to band together to fight these diseases.

Our goal is to raise awareness, promote heart-healthy living and raise $1.8 million. Funds raised at the Heart Walk will enable the AHA to fund more cardiovascular research, implement community education programs, and improve patient care.

Everyone is invited to the 5k that will wind through Disneyland Resort, Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney.
