Visitors can pick up Special Olympics souvenirs and merchandise at Rafer’s Boutique. The Healthy Athlete Village offers FREE health screenings for athletes.

The Mixed Remixed Festival, the nation’s largest gathering of mixed-race and multiracial families and people, is happening at the Japanese American National Museum in downtown Los Angeles.
Now in its third year, the festival celebrates stories of multiracial Americans and families, the fastest growing demographic in the U.S.
A FREE public event, the festival brings together film and book lovers, innovative and emerging artists, and multiracial and multicultural families and individuals for workshops, readings, performances, and film screenings.
7th Annual Tommy Bahama Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival

Look for the 7th annual Tommy Bahama Pier Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival at the Santa Monica Pier. This is an all-day event showcasing an everything from paddleboard to dory races to a rigorous ocean swim, all featuring the top competitors from around the world.
This year the festival features a special musical headliner, surf guitar legend Dick Dale, widely credited with inventing the genre of surf music.
The event is free for spectators and fun for the whole family. Besides the races, there will be beach games and races for the kids, a lifeguard and surf history pop-up museum, plus live music and hula dancers performing throughout the day.
The Tommy Bahama Ice Cream Truck will be handing out free ice cream all day.
