This is the last weekend to explore and own some of the most important contemporary western art available at the 19th ANNUAL MASTERS OF THE AMERICAN WEST FINE ART EXHIBITION & SALE at the Autry National Center in Griffith Park.
Each year, 75 nationally recognized, contemporary Western artists challenge themselves to create and exhibit their very best work. Stylistically and thematically diverse, their works represent the extraordinary range of subject matter that contemporary, historic, and mythic Western experiences inspire.
Proceeds from MASTERS support the Autry’s dynamic educational programs, ongoing collections conservation, and much more.
MASTERS includes work by established artists and emerging talent. This year’s artists include Bill Anton, George Carlson, Tammy Garcia, Robert Griffing, Z. S. Liang, Kyle Polzin, Mian Situ, Tucker Smith, Howard Terpning, and Morgan Weistling. One new artist, John Bye, will join MASTERS this year. Five guest artists—John Budicin, Lori Forest, Conchita O’Kane, Cliff Scott, and Adam Smith—will contribute works to the popular Miniatures Wall.

Vatican art, history, culture and religion are presented using the extraordinary works by art masters including Michelangelo, Bernini, Parmigianino and Guercino, and objects dating back to the first century.
From the venerated relics (bone fragments) of Saint Peter and Saint Paul to Michelangelo's art and tools used in work on the Sistine Chapel, this exhibit comprises one of the largest Vatican collections ever to tour North America. Many items have never before been on public view.

The Los Angeles Persian Parade is happening in downtown Los Angeles. Event organizers report there are more Iranian expatriates living in southern California than anywhere else outside of Iran.
They say the parade is not a political event, but a cultural gathering to honor the 2,500-year history of Persia.
The parade helps educate the children of expatriate Iranians about their heritage, insuring their sense of identity and ethnic pride. It also demonstrates to all Americans who they are as a people and how grateful they are to be living here in America.
The Los Angeles Persian Parade ™ is a non-profit organization.
