The 15th Annual Drought Tolerant Plant Festival happens to at the Sepulveda Garden Center in Encino. Plant sales start at 9am. Guest speakers, including Lili Singer of the Theodore Payne Foundation, begin at 10am with information about  “California Native Plants.”

As May, Military Appreciation Month comes to a close, don’t miss the Fifty American Heroes Tribute Banners honoring American veterans who have lost their lives in combat are on display in Mission Viejo’s Civic Center Garden for the city’s Memorial Day tribute. The banners are personalized by the families. A smaller version of the banner is presented to family.

Flair Cleaners wraps up its’ Fifth Annual Care Package Drive to benefit the military and their families. In partnership with the Bob Hope USO, Flair Cleaners is collecting care package items at each of its five southern California locations.
