One person died and four others were critically injured after an SUV drove through a Canoga Park doughnut shop Saturday night, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The crash occurred in the 8300 block of De Soto Avenue (map), LAFD tweeted around 9:50 p.m.

The silver SUV entered the shop through its front entrance and exited its side windows before driving into traffic on De Soto Avenue, on-scene officials said.

One person was found dead upon arrival, according to another tweet.

The condition of driver was unknown.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
