HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (KTLA) — An investigation is underway after a deadly hit-and-run in Hacienda Heights on Sunday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Wickshire Avenue.

The victim, described as a male Hispanic in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A short time later, police received a call about three assault victims who had driven themselves to Whittier Community Hospital.

All three reportedly suffered multiple stab wounds to the upper torso. None of the injuries was life-threatening.

It remains unclear if the two incidents are connected.

Investigators believe there may have been a party at a home in Hacienda Heights where a fight broke out.

The hit-and-run victim may have been struck by someone who was driving away.

Two vehicles were seen leaving the area of the hit-and-run, and one of those may be the vehicle driven by the stabbing victims to the hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
