A person was struck by gunfire Sunday in a deputy-involved shooting in Lancaster, authorities said

Sheriff’s deputies, paramedics and fire department personnel responded to the scene of a deputy-involved shooting in Lancaster on March 16, 2014.

The incident occurred at 4:18 p.m. in the 43200 block of 16th Street West (map), according to Deputy Kim Manatt of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Headquarters Bureau.

No deputies were injured, Manatt said.

News video showed the wounded person, a male, being loaded into an ambulance. He was transported to a hospital in unknown condition, the Sheriff’s Department said.

No other details were available.
