2 Injured After Gunmen Open Fire Outside Norwalk Apartment

Two people were expected to survive after being shot outside an apartment building in Norwalk on Monday night, authorities said.

Deputies responded to a reported shooting shortly before 10 p.m. near the intersection of Lindale Street and Corby Avenue (map), according to the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department.

Two people who had been shot near the apartment were found inside the building, according to Sgt. Arias with the Sheriff’s Department’s Norwalk Station.

One of the victims sustained serious wounds, while the other had minor injuries, Arias said. Both were taken to a local hospital where they were treated.

Authorities were searching for two men in connection with the shooting, he added, but no further description was offered.
