BMW Collides With Orange Line Bus, Injuring 12 People

VAN NUYS (KTLA) — Five people were hospitalized on Saturday night after a car collided with a city bus.

The driver of a silver BMW apparently ran a red light and hit an Orange Line bus in Van Nuys.

The crash happened at around 8:25 p.m. at the intersection of Bessemer St. and Vesper Ave.

There were 75 passengers on the bus and 12 of them were injured.

An 11-year-old girl sustained the most serious injury, suffering bruises and contusions.

The driver of the BMW was not injured and was not driving under the influence.
