Organization launches competition, with $1 million prizes, for better COVID-19 testing method

California

Testing is critical in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, but is still lagging in California and elsewhere in the United States. To help solve the issue, the non-profit organization XPRIZE has launched a competition to increase testing capability. They say they’ll award $1 million to five teams that can come up with a testing method that is faster, cheaper and easier to use.
