The Los Angeles Police Department’s Mounted Platoon has two new “officers” on the force who are known for their tough stance on rodents.
Traps were initially used to control the rat problem at the Metro Division’s barn, but officials say they have discovered a much more efficient method — cats.
“Will and Harry, is what we’re calling them,” said Officer William Bennyworth, referring to the platoon’s new feline recruits. “I’m sure it’ll save a lot of money for the city, these guys being here and doing a natural things that cats do, just hunting and finding these rats and mice.”
