A 1-year-old girl was injured after she nearly drowned in a swimming pool Thursday at a home in Canoga Park, authorities said.
The incident happened at 10:04 a.m. in the 7900 block of Sausalito Avenue (map), according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
When firefighters arrived, they found the child unresponsive, the LAFD said.
The LAFD sent an air ambulance to nearby Capistrano Avenue Elementary School, and the child was flown to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
She was listed in serious condition, the fire department said.
