The incident was reported about 6:45 a.m. at 11679 Elm Avenue (map) near Michael D’Arcy Elementary School, according to the California Highway Patrol’s incident log.

Aerial video from Sky5 showed an empty school bus parked across from the school with its door open, but it was unclear if it was the bus involved in the crash.

The child was not injured in the incident and the bus driver was not expected to face any citations, according to Officer Marcelo Llerena of the CHP.

There was no word on whether the child attended the nearby school, Llerena said.

Three children were aboard the bus at the time of crash, according to the CHP log. However, emergency crews did not transport anyone to the hospital in the incident, Fontana Fire Department officials said.
